Hey everybody! So a few requests have led me to return to our blog!
This week, Allie shared with us about the importance and power of worship and focused on music, singing and dancing. In the evening, we talked about how prevalent those things are in Scripture as forms of worship but also examined other methods of worship. We read Romans 12:1 – “I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.”
So we talked about some practical ideas of how to do that.
So what have you committed to do this week? Share about your week “offering your body as a living sacrifice” on our blog!
I also challenged all of us to distribute positive post-it messages around your schools. So let us know how that goes too!
Have a great week, everyone! Please let us know how things go! We want to hear!
Love you guys!
Hello all! It is time for the Peace Challenge! Your first task is to read and analyze Isaiah 26:3… then your task, if you choose to accept it… and you should!… is to search through Scripture and see what else the Bible has to say on the subject of peace. Where does it come from? What does it mean? How does God provide it? And so on… The Bible is packed with discussions on peace… I wonder what God will show you as you study the concept of peace this week? But we will never know if you do not take the opportunity and reach back to Him!
Good luck! May you rise to the challenge!
You have been challenged to read at least one Psalm every day this week and then post about that Psalm and your reaction to it on our blog!
I have also promised that whatever Psalms you all post about on this blog, I will read myself and respond to as well. So get reading and get posting! Let’s all benefit from one another as we read through God’s Word together!
Good Luck! May God bless your efforts and may you grow closer to Him this week!
This week you have been challenged to read James all the way through! 1 chapter per day with a day for reflection on what you’ve read on Saturday.
And please post your thoughts here and take notes in your notebooks!
I am excited to see what you experience this week!
This week, the students of LVCC were challenged to read, in depth, and take some notes on the entire Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5-7. If you would like to participate in the challenge, your daily readings (of course, you can read more if you wish!) are as follows:
– Monday – Matthew 5:1-37
– Tuesday – Matthew 5:38-48
– Wednesday – Matthew 6:1-15
– Thursday – Matthew 6:16-24
– Friday – Matthew 6:25-34
– Saturday – Matthew 7:1-14
– Sunday morning before church – Matthew 7:15-29
As you read each day, please write things down as they come to mind – questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, research, etc. Then, I would love if you would post your thoughts on here for all of us to benefit from! We are a family and we need to help and support each other!
I will be praying for your guys every evening this week (and did already tonight) as you read and reflect upon God’s Word!
If you give Him the chance, God will respond!
Follow the link below to a video from GodTube.com. I would love for you to watch the video and then share your thoughts and reflections on it. How does it apply to your faith?
This video is one we will watch this coming Sunday night. Go ahead and watch it now so you can get a feel for the message of the video and then be prepared to share about it a bit. You can share here on the blog and you can share on Sunday.
